Nobel Prize in Medicine awarded for mRNA COVID vaccines

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for their creation of the technology underlying mRNA vaccines, primarily against COVID-19.
