Canadian Man Sets Guinness World Record for Eating Carolina Reapers

Canadian resident Mike Jack has made it into the Guinness World Records by consuming 50 Carolina Reaper peppers in 6 minutes and 49.2 seconds. He then proceeded to "destroy" another 85 of these peppers. These peppers are recognized as the hottest in the world. Previously, Jack also set records for chugging a bottle of hot sauce in 8.56 seconds and a liter of tomato sauce in 1 minute and 5.56 seconds. However, the Canadian ranks second in the world for consuming Carolina Reapers in one sitting, with Australian Gregory Barlow holding the top spot with 185 peppers of this variety.
