Global warming leads to an increase in alcohol and drug-related problems. As the temperature of the air rises, more people are being admitted to hospitals for reasons related to alcohol. These reasons range from dehydration to injuries caused by drunk driving. Scientists have also observed an increase in the number of hospitalizations related to drugs as temperatures rise, but only up to a limit of 18.8 °C.
