Rare Fossil of Giant Spider Found in Australia

Scientists have discovered a unique fossil of a giant spider in Australia. The fossil represents a species called Megamonodontium mccluskyi, which lived on the continent from 11 to 16 million years ago. This species was five times larger than its modern relatives and reached a size of about five centimeters. The finding is considered a rare discovery for Australia.
