NASA unveils device for assessing plant health

NASA engineers have developed a portable gadget called STELLA, capable of scanning, recording, and analyzing environmental characteristics such as the condition of plant health. The device’s light intensity data can indicate the plant's photosynthesis efficiency. Similar to Landsat satellites, STELLA enables the measurement of vegetation index but on a more global scale, providing valuable data to farmers and foresters evaluating the health of their crops and trees.
