Woman Loses Limbs After Eating Fish

A 40-year-old American woman had her arms and legs amputated after consuming fish. The woman purchased the fish at a market in San Jose, cooked it for dinner, and within a couple of hours, she was rushed to the intensive care unit. The cause was the Vibrio vulnificus bacteria, which infected the fish. They are also known as 'flesh-eating bacteria'.
