In Japan, new owners will be found for abandoned robot dogs. The ecological initiative will help find new homes for the devices and reduce the amount of electronic waste. The program is aimed at 'owners who have stopped using the ERS-1000 Aibo'. Sony will accept unused robots as donations, provide them with proper maintenance, and find new homes for them. The devices are artificial intelligence puppies equipped with cameras and touch sensors that respond to stroking. At the start of sales, they cost around 3,000 dollars.
