The Health Workers Association BVOeGD is calling on the government to take advantage of the experience of Italy and other southern countries and introduce a siesta, a midday rest that is necessary when the weather is unbearably hot. In July, Germany faced a rise in temperatures up to 35°C, and in Bavaria the thermometers rose to a record high of 38.8°C.
