Goodbye Wi-Fi, hello Li-Fi.

The IEEE has adopted a new standard for wireless data transmission. Instead of radio waves, visible light waves will act as a transmission medium, and an ordinary LED light bulb can serve as a transmitter. Most importantly, the speed of such a network is 100 times faster than regular Wi-Fi. But there is one significant disadvantage: the light cannot go around walls and other opaque obstacles.
