Many popular video games are based on players fighting in virtual wars. In this regard, the Red Cross urged gamers not to commit war crimes even in games. Gamers are asked not to shoot surrendered or wounded enemies, civilians and civilian buildings, and to provide medical assistance to anyone who needs it. The rules are linked to the real laws of war, which require humanism towards civilians, facilities and care for the wounded on both sides of the conflict.
