Engineers have assembled an edible battery out of almonds and gold.

Engineers from Milan have created a battery from edible ingredients - almonds, seaweed, capers, activated carbon, gold leaf and beeswax. The device can power medical sensors that need to be swallowed: cameras, biosensors, drug delivery systems.
