The study participants were 206 women with an average age of 28 years. They were asked to report how often they watch pornography and were asked to rate 93 genres. Psychologists have identified four patterns of pornography viewing. 39% of the participants are women who approved of several genres of pornography. 27% of the sample only approved of the more socially acceptable depictions of sexual behavior. 23% of participants were more likely to approve of genres depicting female orgasms. Rough sex interested only 11% of the sample.
