Scientists have found out which beer is better - in cans or bottles.

Most other similar experiments have looked at lagers first, so the scientists now decided to look at other beers. They tested the chemical stability of drinks packaged in different containers. The jars and bottles were refrigerated for a month and left at room temperature for an additional five months to mimic typical storage conditions. Every two weeks, the researchers monitored the composition. Amber ale lost its properties in a jar, and IPA almost did not change when stored in any container. This may be due to the higher concentration of polyphenols from hops, which prevent oxidation.
