A rare giant jellyfish was filmed in Antarctica.

She looks like an alien creature and hides in the depths. In Antarctic waters, underwater vehicles managed to photograph three giant transparent jellyfish - Stygiomedusa gigantea. They were captured at a depth of 80-280 meters, although these creatures usually prefer a depth of about a kilometer. It is not yet known why they inhabit the relatively shallow waters around Antarctica. The length of the tentacles of the jellyfish is ten meters, the diameter of the bell is one meter. S. gigantea live in all oceans except the Arctic.
