Astrophotographer Kevin Roylance took a 6-hour time-lapse of the flight of the “green” comet C / 2022 E3 (ZTF).

The cosmic body was discovered quite recently, on March 2 last year, when astronomers at the California Observatory were surveying the night sky with the Zwicky Transient Facility device. The last time a comet was this close to Earth was about 50,000 years ago.
