Silent frogs have been discovered in Africa that communicate by touch.

In Tanzania, in the mountain forests of Ukaguru, a new species of jumping frogs was discovered. They have an unusual color, they do not know how to croak and interact with each other by touching. The new species was named Hyperolius ukaguruensis. Amphibians are no more than 2.5 centimeters in length. Unlike traditionally green relatives, these frogs are golden brown.
