A study by the Dutch artist Anthony Van Dyck for the painting "Saint Jerome with an Angel", found in a barn under a layer of bird droppings, was sold at Sotheby's for $ 3.1 million. The painting was found in 2002 on a farm near New York, the canvas lay in a barn under a layer of bird droppings. The sketch was later bought by collector Albert Roberts for $600. He decided that the work belongs to the Golden Age of Dutch painting (XVII century) and gave the picture for examination. In 2019, art historian Susan Barnes reported that the study found on the farm is a "surprisingly well-preserved" work by Van Dyck.
