In the British city of Scarborough, New Year's fireworks had to be cancelled.

This had to be done because of the New Year's miracle in the form of a tired walrus. The poor fellow made a stopover in the town on his long journey north. And in order not to frighten the animal, they decided to remove the fireworks. In return, onlookers got a better spectacle.
