Scientists from California have figured out how plants "breathe".

As a result of a new study, experts were able to show the mechanism of plant respiration - from the absorption of carbon dioxide by stomata to the loss of water vapor. This, of course, is a useful discovery that will allow botanists to grow the most capricious crops, but this is not a pleasant sight.
