In the United States, the number of organ donors and organ transplants increases markedly on the days of major motorcycle races. Regions hosting the seven biggest motorcycle races between 2005 and 2021 saw 21% more organ donors per day on average than during normal times, according to a study published in JAMA Internal Medicine.
