Robots with weapons against criminals

The San Francisco police asked the city council to allow the use of robots with lethal weapons against criminals. The document provides for permission to kill people in cases “when the risk of death of ordinary citizens or officers is inevitable and any other forceful option available to the police loses to this scenario.” The preliminary version of the project has already been approved, and now it must be considered by a special commission. Now police robots are mainly used for bomb disposal, however, some models can be additionally equipped with 12-gauge guns.
