Found a common ancestor of fungi and animals.

The journal Nature published a study deciphering the genomes of fungi and animals back to ancient times. It was revealed that the common ancestor lived about a billion years ago and was a single cell. It's funny that thanks to this study, it was possible to find modern unicellular organisms that are very close to both fungi and animals.
