In the Barcelona metro, it is now possible to charge electric scooters with energy from the brakes.

Nine modular lockers have been installed in the Barcelona Metro at the Ciutadella - Vila Olímpica station for charging personal mobility equipment: electric scooters, gyro scooters, unicycles. Energy is generated by trains during regenerative braking. The pilot project is called Metrolinera. Until October 24, students of the nearest university can use the charging stations for free, other passengers - with a 50% discount.
