Why do women prefer sex in the dark?

It's easier to relax in the dark. Some women can have "normal" sex in the light without shame: in the missionary position, they feel quite confident. But when they want to experiment or try hard sex, they turn off the lights. Or even when changing positions, like sitting on top.
