Nike has created a robot that can clean and repair sneakers.

It works like this: the robot creates a 3D digital model of the shoe and finds spots to clean on the top, sides and soles, while sneaker wearers can choose patches to hide scuffs on the sneakers. After BILL is done (it takes about 45 minutes to process a pair of Air Force 1s), the staff will install new insoles and laces made from recycled materials. While BILL is available in the Nike Town London branded store, and all owners of the brand's sneakers can use it for free.
