Waste will be processed into biodegradable thermoplastic filaments for 3D printers. This will clean up the city and reduce harm to nature. Smokers around the world leave behind more than 766,000 tons of toxic waste every year. Cigarette filters are mostly made of microplastics - cellulose acetate fibers. Under the influence of the sun and moisture, they release heavy metals into the environment.
