Now the company is preparing to test volunteers. LyGenesis has come up with a non-invasive treatment for people with severe liver damage. To do this, liver cells from a donor are injected into the lymph nodes of patients, literally growing a new liver, which helps to compensate for the main diseased organ. The solution allows not only to avoid a difficult transplant operation, but also to use donor organs more rationally: the cells of one liver can be enough for 75 people.
