Zide Door is a branch of the Ambrosia Church that advocates "safe access" to naturally occurring psychoactive substances for "direct communication with God". Zide Door has 60 thousand parishioners. They donate five dollars a month to the church and make contributions to its fund in exchange for the "sacrament" - the use of cannabis and mushrooms. In the police lawsuit, Zide Door cites the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993. He allowed some US religious groups to use drugs for ritual purposes.
