Sauna Reduces Anxiety and Depression
Sauna reduces indicators of anxiety and depression. Swedish researchers conducted a survey involving 1180 residents of Northern Sweden aged 25 to 74. Among them, 641 people reported going to the sauna at least once a month. These respondents were less likely to have high blood pressure, complained less of pain, were more physically active, and smoked less, although they consumed more alcohol. Additionally, sauna-goers rated their overall and mental health, energy level, and happiness higher. Furthermore, they had lower levels of anxiety and depression.
